If you have been scouring the net for free boat plans, you have likely found when I was searching for some free plans to build a plywood dinghy for my children what I found a few years ago. I am sorry to need to tell this to you but I am fearful that free boat plans of any actual worth simply do not exist.
They are never quite appropriate
I lost count of the variety of sketches and half-finished drawings. None of the turned out to be any great in the long run. I did find a few strategies that are appropriate, but the were not just what I was searching for. One was much too large for the other and two ten year olds appeared to have such a little freeboard I was convinced itd fill with water at the first hint of a wave.
The only option
Simple to use
Since then the software was upgraded several times and is simpler to use than ever. Myself went on to design and construct the youngsters dinghy. It took from beginning to end. It was nothing fancy but the children adore it and it performs nicely. So well that two other club members requested myself to design boats for them. Their pay myself more than covered the softwares initial one off price.
Getting free boat plans
So there youve got it, if you would like free boat plans, forget it. That is getting free boat plans!
